The mission of The Ikeja Record is to become the most-trusted and most-accurate information resource for people who live or work in Ikeja. That means seeking out the truth and helping people understand the world from an Ikeja perspective is at the heart of everything we do.
We are seeking a co-editor who will play a central role in how The Ikeja Record evolves. The co-editor will work with other co-editors, staff writers, marketers, and freelancers to produce the best journalism out of Ikeja. This is a fantastic job for someone who is passionate about journalism and truth-seeking, is familiar with Ikeja and surrounding communities, and wants to help create a better informed society.
Responsibilities
Managing the editorial content of The Record. This includes overseeing the writing, editing, and production of news stories, features, opinion pieces, social media copy and other content.
Assigning stories to reporters and freelance writers based on their interests, expertise, and availability.
