Up to 11 roads to be closed for Lagos Women Run

The state government said it will temporarily close 11 major roads on Lagos Island and Victoria Island on Saturday, November 9, to accommodate the annual Lagos Women Run.

According to the Commissioner for Transportation Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the affected routes include Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Outer Marina, Bonny Camp Bridge, Ahmadu Bello Way, Akin Adesola Street, Falomo Bridge, Awolowo Road, and Onikan Roundabout, leading to Mobolaji Johnson Arena.

Osiyemi advised motorists travelling to the Third Mainland Bridge from Ozumba Mbadiwe to use Bonny Camp and follow specific detours. Additional alternative routes will be provided, with LASTMA, NPF, FRSC, and LSNC officials deployed to ensure a smooth flow of traffic and prevent unauthorised access along the race route.
