The Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi has announced the reopening of the parts of the Third Mainland Bridge which was closed last month.

Osiyemi stated on Thursday that these routes would reopen by 6 pm on December 21.

“Following essential maintenance, the entire bridge is now fully accessible to the public, ensuring smoother connectivity and safe commuting.

“We appreciate your patience during the temporary closure and understand the inconvenience it may have caused. The reopening reaffirms our commitment to infrastructure upkeep and public safety.

We wish you a joyful holiday season and safe travels,” the commissioner wrote.

Recall that in November, the Federal Ministry of Works, in partnership with the Lagos State government flagged off the rehabilitation of the Third Mainland Bridge.

The four ramps connecting Adekunle to TMB were closed, requiring motorists to use alternative routes.
