A Dangote truck experienced brake failure on Tuesday, leading to a tragic collision with a tricycle and a Toyota Camry before crashing into Ayetoro Market in Epe.

The accident claimed the lives of the tricycle driver and two students from Manpower Technical School.

Responders from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), with support from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), quickly arrived to secure the scene and transported the deceased to the Epe General Hospital mortuary.

Efforts were made to swiftly clear the wreckage, including the truck, to reduce traffic disruptions and ensure the safety of other road users.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu extended condolences to the families of the victims of the accident.

“With deep sorrow, I extend my sympathies to the families of those affected. I also pray for the departed souls and for the speedy recovery of those injured,” he said.
