Sanwo-Olu inaugurates 270 Flats at Egan-Igando Housing Estate
In an official post via his X account, the Governor highlighted the project’s goal of providing quality housing for suburban residents and committed to completing the remaining units in Clusters Two and Three.
Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has inaugurated 270 two-bedroom flats at the Egan-Igando Mixed Housing Estate in the Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area.
The project, part of Cluster One in the Ikeja Division, is set on 17.358 hectares and is the first phase of a larger development that will include 101 blocks of 846 units, offering one, two, and three-bedroom apartments.
In an official post via his X account, the Governor highlighted the project’s goal of providing quality housing for suburban residents and committed to completing the remaining units in Clusters Two and Three.
He further stressed the importance of residents maintaining and protecting the new facilities.
The Egan-Igando Mixed Housing Scheme project
This project was initiated by the Lagos State Ministry of Housing in 2001. It involved constructing 33 blocks (18 in 1) of two-bedroom apartments. By 2002, most of the blocks had been abandoned at different stages of construction due to a lack of funds.
