Red Line Rail: Lagos to unveil Africa’s fastest train

In a recent tweet, the State Government showcased Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at the Red Line Rail station, where he announced that full operations of this high-speed marvel are on the horizon.

The Lagos State Government has revealed that the RedLine Rail, a pivotal part of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit system, is set to debut as the fastest train in Africa, boasting an impressive speed of 330 km/h.

Adding to this milestone, the Blue Line Rail, another integral segment of the project, successfully commenced commercial operations on Monday, September 4, 2023, covering the route from Marina to Mile 2.

In a recent tweet, the State Government showcased Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at the Red Line Rail station, where he announced that full operations of this high-speed marvel are on the horizon.

“Lagos State RedLine Rail is set to commence full operations, marking the debut of the fastest train in Africa with a speed of 330 km/h. Credit goes to Governor Sanwo-Olu and the dedicated citizens of Lagos who contributed to this remarkable project,” the tweet read.
