Over 100 motorcycles impounded in new police operation

The state’s police taskforce said it has launched a new operation targeting motorcycle operators who are violating the government’s ban of the vehicles in certain routes.

In its latest enforcement operation – carried out in areas such as LASU First Gate, Ipaja Gate, Governor’s Road, Igando axis, and Dopemu – the taskforce seized 115 motorcycles.“We will not tolerate any breach of this order,” the taskforce’s chairman, CSP Adetayo Akerele, said. “Those who continue to operate in restricted areas, endangering the lives of road users, will face the full wrath of the law.”
