Obasa’s lawyer swap deepens Assembly crisis

Reinstated Speaker Mudashiru Obasa has replaced the Lagos Assembly’s legal team without consulting the 35 lawmakers who impeached him, sparking outrage. Femi Falana (SAN), representing the lawmakers, condemned the move. “A plaintiff cannot impose a lawyer on the defendants,” Falana said. The court adjourned the case to March 17 as the power struggle deepens, Vanguard Newspaper reported.
