NGO offers free medical care to Persons affected by Leprosy

Families and persons affected by Leprosy were beneficiaries of free medical care and drugs at the Alabarago Lepers’ Community in Ojo, Lagos at the weekend.

God’s Love Ministries, in collaboration with The Fount of Love Foundation, led a team of doctors for a medical outreach to the Lepers’ Community on Sunday.

Speaking with journalists during the outreach, the Coordinator of God’s Care Ministries, Pastor Maria Olatunji stated that the gesture was a demonstration of God’s love, even as she charged the neighboring community, business tycoons and local government to respond to the cries of the lepers.

“This is an avenue to help people who have nothing to give in return. When I heard about this lepers community, I was overwhelmed with concern even though I wasn’t in the country at the time. I made up my mind to visit this community at my next opportunity to be in Nigeria.”
