Easter: Lekki Conservation Centre reopens walkway after repairs

Recall that in a viral video, a tourist called attention to the poor condition of the canopy walkway, noting that it posed a danger to tourists who visit the Centre.

After months of extensive repairs, the Lekki Conservation Centre Walkway will be reopened to the public from Friday, 29th March 2024 ahead of Easter celebrations.

In a statement, the Lagos State Government and the Management of the Lekki Conservation Centre (LCC), announced the new development, noting that it will enrich the easter holiday experience for visitors.  

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Mr. Idris Aregbe, who visited the Centre in Lekki in company of staff of the ministry, noted that all repairs and renovations on the facility, including the Walkway, have been finalized.

Aregbe expressed appreciation to Lagosians and tourists worldwide for their patience while repair work was ongoing, noting “The completion of the maintenance signifies a significant milestone in preserving and enhancing the tourism potential of the Lekki Conservation Centre.”
