Lawmakers pass vote of confidence on Obasa

Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly on Monday passed a vote of confidence on Speaker Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa saying they remain satisfied with his leadership of the House.

The vote of confidence coincided with the Speaker’s 52nd birthday. “It is good to note that every decision the Speaker has taken in the House has been with the full consent of his fellow lawmakers. He consults the members and gets their opinions,” Majority leader Noheem Adams said.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, in a statement, also lauded Mr. Obasa for his leadership of the House. “The Speaker is worth celebrating for his contributions to the growth and development of Lagos State, particularly in the legislative arm of government,” Sanwo-Olu said.

As part of his birthday celebration, the lawmakers praised the Speaker for his influential outstanding leadership.
