The Lagos State Police Command has officially begun investigating the petition filed by Nigerian singer and songwriter Tiwa Savage against singer David Adeleke, widely known as Davido.

Confirming the receipt of the petition, Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, stated in a conversation with the Punch, "I can confirm to you that we have received the petition, and investigation has commenced."

In her petition, Savage accuses Davido of online harassment, bullying, and threatening her life. She claims that he warned her through connections to "be careful in Lagos because he was going to f"k me up."

The petition emphasises that Davido's actions are unethical and pose a direct threat to her rights to life, privacy, and personal dignity.

Despite the serious allegations, Davido is yet to provide any reaction or response to the petition on his online platforms.
