Lagos Assembly rejects 17 Commissioner nominees by Sanwo-Olu
The Speaker however revealed that 22 Commissioner Nominees were confirmed by the lawmakers.
The Lagos State House of Assembly has disqualified 17 of the commissioner nominees out of the 39 sent by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for screening.
The position of the house was made known by the Speaker of the State Assembly Mudashiru Obasa during a Plenary on Wednesday.
The Speaker however revealed that 22 Commissioner Nominees were confirmed by the lawmakers.
Obasa who commended the committee on the screening headed by Honourable Fatai Mojeed said the house would continue to perform its oversight functions in the state.
“I thank the committee for the thorough screening of nominees and the report rendered. It is now a clarion call for the confirmed nominees to honour the state.
“We will continue to do our job and oversight the affairs of Lagos State,” he said.
