KAI demolishes 54 illegal shanties under Eko Bridge
Corps Marshal Maj. Olaniyi Olatunbosun Cole (retd), who led the operation, said the Elegbeta Water Channel beneath the bridge had become home to miscreants and illegal occupants who frequently dumped refuse into the lagoon and engaged in open defecation.
The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (KAI) on Monday dismantled 54 illegal shanties housing 84 occupants and eight makeshift toilets under Eko Bridge in Ebute-Ero.
