Guinness World Records: Lagos Drums Support for Nigeria's Chess Guru Tunde Onakoya
On behalf of Lagos state, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has lent support for Tunde Onakoya, a renowned chess master, who began his mission to surpass the Guinness World Record for the longest chess marathon for 58 hours. The marathon, which started on Wednesday, April 18, and expected to end on Friday, April 19, is underway at the famous Times Square in New York City, US. Via his Facebook page on Wednesday, Governor Sanwo-Olu wrote:
"Every grand victory starts with a single, bold move akin to a daring gambit—a bold move to redefine possibilities.
"Tunde Onakoya; Lagos is rooting for you as you attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest chess marathon at Times Square in the heart of New York.
