Good News as Lagos Primary Health Care Board Trains Nurses

The Lagos State Primary Health Care Board (LSPHCB), through the Directorate of Nursing Services, has organised a training programme for Nursing Officers in Charge (OIC) of its 24-hour Flagship Facilities.

The training which will be held in three batches from April 3rd to 5th, 2024, at the NANNM House, Alausa Ikeja, is aimed at equipping nurses with the latest advancements and best practices in essential maternal and newborn care.

In his remarks at the commencement of the training on Wednesday, Dr. Abimbola Bowale, Permanent Secretary, Lagos Health District IV, who is also the Supervising PS for LSPHCB, emphasised the state's commitment to enhancing healthcare at the grassroots level.

He highlighted the importance of training for nurses, who form a large portion of healthcare professionals to ensure that they stay updated with the latest advancements in the field.
