Coach Dreh: Sanwo-Olu Finally Meets Athlete Who Swam For Over 2hrs (photos)

The feat of Dare Samuel Akinrodoye (aka Coach Dreh) who swam across the Third Mainland Bridge for a breathtaking 2 hour and 33 minutes has gotten the attention of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, hailing Coach Dreh on Tuesday, April 9, for his commendable act, was particularly impressed by his mission and intention for the move: to campaign against suicide and depression.

Via his official Facebook page, the Lagos governor wrote:

"Great achievements often stem from noble causes, and today, we celebrated a remarkable feat by one of Lagos's very own, Dare Samuel Akinrodoye, known as COACH DREH.

"On March 30th, 2024, he swam 11.8km across the Third Mainland Bridge in an impressive time of 2 hours and 33 minutes, not just as a challenge to himself, but with a mission to raise awareness and campaign against suicide and depression.
