Bids for gas power plants announced

The state government has called for bids from independent power producers to set up gas-fired power plants to address the state’s electricity shortfall. This initiative, under the Clean Lagos Electricity Market (CLEM), aims to generate up to 500MW across four hubs. Lagos requires over 6,000 MW but currently receives less than 2,000 MW from DisCos.
