APM Terminals, Apapa, has announced the arrival of the largest container vessel to visit the Lagos Port Complex, the EA Centaurus. With a capacity of 7,000 TEUs, this marks a historic milestone for the port. The vessel, owned by COSCO Shipping, measures 272 metres long, 43 metres wide, and has a draft of 14.3 metres.

Terminal Manager Steen Knudsen noted that this event highlights the port’s growing capacity and the economic benefits of handling larger vessels, which reduce import costs and enhance trade efficiency.

APM Terminals Nigeria’s Chief Commercial Officer, Caroline Aubert-Adewuyi, expressed optimism about the partnership with COSCO and the positive impact on Nigeria’s trade infrastructure and economy.
