Alimosho records highest number of emergencies in October

LASEMA's Local Government Emergency Trends report highlighted Alimosho as the most incident-prone area in October, recording 29 of the 147 incidents.

Alimosho local government has ranked highest in October for emergency incidents, recording 29 of the 147 incidents.

In a statement from its spokesperson, Nosa Okunbor, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) responded to 1,367 incidents across the state between January and October 2024.

According to the LASEMA's Local Government Emergency Trends, Oshodi-Isolo followed Alimosho with 20 incidents, Ikeja with 18, and Kosofe with 14. Other high-ranking areas included Eti-Osa with 12 incidents and Lagos Island with 10. Epe logged eight incidents, while Apapa and Mainland recorded six each.

Agege and Surulere each had five incidents, while Ojo and Mushin had three. Shomolu and areas outside Lagos each recorded two, and Amuwo-Odofin, Ibeju-Lekki, Ikorodu, and Ifako-Ijaiye each recorded one. No incidents were reported in Ajeromi-Ifelodun and Badagry local government areas
