On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, fast-rising Ikorodu-born singer, rapper, and composer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, sadly passed away at the age of 27.

Mohbad was born on June 8, 1996, in Lagos, Nigeria.
His previous stage name was 2Black. – He got his Mohbad which translated to “I’m bad“stage name after a producer told him he was bad – a street way of saying he was very good with lyrics and songs.
He joined Naira Marley’s Marlian Music Record Label alongside Zinoleesky, Fabian blu, and Cblvck on On January 1, 2020.
He released his debut album, Light EP, in the fourth quarter of 2020 as a follow-up to his viral song “Ponmo,” which featured Naira Marley and Lil Kesh.
Mohbad had collaborated with several other artistes including Davido, Zlatan, Oladips, Small Doctor, Bella Shmurda, Lil Frosh amongst others.
